FUTURES Creates Community and Opportunity
FUTURES is an AccessStudio program for Disabled and neurodivergent young people in Canada between the ages of 18 and 30.
The 12-week program gives participants the opportunity to meet regularly with the same cohort and explore identity, disability justice, community, creativity, leadership, and social impact. Participants are encouraged to reflect on their experiences, build confidence, connect with others, and consider how they can create meaningful change.
FUTURES is built around the understanding that Disabled and neurodivergent young people already possess valuable knowledge and life experience. The program helps give that experience structure, direction, and a supportive community.

Alicia Grace’s Experience
Alicia Grace participated in FUTURES and shared her story on the Even Though I’m Blind Experience Podcast.
As a blind actor, Alicia spoke about entering rooms where people realize she may be the first visually impaired actor they have ever encountered. That experience reflects why representation and access are so important.
Alicia is pursuing her goals, building her career, and helping others see blind people as talented professionals and creators. Her experience also shows the human impact of programs like FUTURES. When people find a community that understands them and gives them room to grow, they can gain confidence, recognize their strengths, and move closer to the future they envision.
